What's Up Wednesday!!!!!

It's Hump Day!

I am linking up with Mel and Shay!

I haven't done this in a while!  Here we go!

1. What we're eating this week.....
We are eating out a lot.   My son told our dentist recently that if it weren't for Pal Barger (owner of Pal's, a local fast food restaurant) that he would starve! :(
#momoftheyear
This is an old picture but this is what all Pal's look like- minus the snow on the hamburger and hot dog!

I did make a big pot of chili on Sunday so we have been eating on it.  We will eat out tomorrow night because we have a football game two hours away.  On Friday night, I will be with my Luke (more on that in a minute) and will not eat dinner!
It is impossible for me to cook a meal during the week.  Carson has baseball practice at least twice a week.  His practice facility is forty five minutes from our house and practice is from 6-8PM.  We leave the house at 5:15 and don't get home until 8:45, assuming practice is finished on time.   Based on that schedule, we either eat dinner at 4:45 or 9:00- neither of which we like to do- believe me, I have tried it.  It is just easier to eat in the car en route to practice.  Luckily, we are ending our fall baseball season which will mean more time at home.

2.  What I'm reminiscing about....
Last year's Farm Tour!  What a fun night!  Cole Swindell will not be there this year but we will see Chris Jansen (he sings Buy Me A Boat).  Personally, I would love for Luke to bring Sam Hunt or Thomas Rhett but beggars can't be choosers!

3.  What I'm loving....
Pumpkin. everything.all.the.day.long
Pumpkin pie coffee creamer
pumpkin spice bread
pumpkin pie pop tarts
pumpkin muffins
pumpkin candles

#givemeallthepumpkin

4.  What I've been up to....
Taxi driver for kids, homework, laundry, housework, baseball, dance, repeat.  No picture of all of this!

5.  What I'm dreading....
Standing in the rain the next two nights watching a football game and a concert.  More on that in a minute....

6.  What I'm working on....
Nothing special.  See #4

7.  What I am excited about......
Drumroll.....  I am going to see Luke Bryan Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This will be the third time I have seen him at Farm Tour.  We are heading down tomorrow night to the town (2 hours away) because D-B has a football game in the same town as the concert so we are going to stay the night there.  To say I am excited is a huge understatement!  Luke has been a favorite of mine since he first came on the country scene.  I hope to get as close to him as I did last year!  The forecast calls for 70% chance of rain.  We will be on a farm---in a field-----nasty----wet.
#rainisagoodthing

8.  What I am watching/reading....
I have two books sitting on my nightstand that I haven't started and the last thing I watched was the Tennessee/Florida game on Saturday.  I am just not much of a TV person.

9.  What I'm listening to....
Currently, I am listening to the sound of my Roomba vacuuming my hardwood while the Bobby Bones show plays from my iPad.

10.  What I'm wearing...
Pajamas.

11. What I'm doing this weekend....
Duh!  Luke Bryan!

12.  What I'm looking forward to next month....
October is my birthday month and anniversary.  Our anniversary is the 7th and my birthday is the 8th.  Sadly, Chad and I will not be together for either event.  He will be traveling for work.  I am bummed about it and he had asked me to go with him but I just simply can't be gone for a week.  If we go out of town, I have to plan and juggle what to do with the kids- it is kinda like a teacher making substitute lesson plans.  I would have rather gone to school sick than make sub plans!  Besides, he will be tied up with work stuff so I would be by myself anyway.  At least if I am at home, I can be with the kiddos. I am looking forward to both events though I don't have any expectations of what they will be like.  My birthday gift is my Luke ticket.  I am also looking forward to our end of season baseball party with our baseball family at the corn maze!

13.  What else is new....
Our family may be facing a new challenge/endeavor in the near future.  I am not ready to discuss it right now.  It is not an ideal situation but if it happens, I will put my big girl panties on and deal with it.  No one is sick, getting a divorce, etc.  but it is a change.

14. What is a favorite Halloween tradition.....
Our Halloween traditions don't exist.  Typically we let the kids trick or treat and eat out.  Last year, Carson had a football game to water boy but the training staff was nice enough to get candy for the kids.  Carson would rather do that anyway.  This year, we are going to Georgia to an air show and trick or treating with our Georgia family.  Caylee wants to be Mal from Descendants and Carson wants to dress up as Harry Potter.  Should be fun!

Happy Wednesday!

Five on Friday!!!!

I sound like a broken record.  I keep saying I am going to do better by this blog and yet, I fall short.  Oh well.  I am not beating myself up over it.  We are living life and are busy.  Fall activities are in full swing.  School, homework, baseball, dance, repeat.

I want to share some five Friday favorites and to make a shameless brag about where I will be next Friday night.  I am spending part of the night with this handsome hunk.....

#sorryChad

To say I am excited is a huge understatement, especially since I listen to his new album non stop- well, when the kids aren't around.  Some songs on there (song #3) aren't for kid ears!

Here's Five of my current favorites (Luke not included but a given):

ONE
I love fall nail polish.  I need to update my collection.  I haven't painted my nails as often as I would like.  I usually do it at night but I have been so tired after the kids go to bed, I have been turning in myself.  Here are my favorites:

From Left to Right:
OPI DS Classic
OPI You Don't Know Jacques
Sally Hansen top coat gel- this is my newest purchase.  I love this!  It DEFINITELY extends the life of my painted nails!
OPI 50 Shades of Gray- I don't know the name of this polish but it was in a sample kit from the 50 Shades of Gray line.
Essie Wicked
Essie Bahama Mama
Essie Mink Muffs

TWO

In keeping with the fall theme, my favorite candles are from Bath and Body Works.  I exercise patience and wait for them to go on sale.  I recently purchased Autum and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE sweet cinnamon pumpkin!!

THREE

Have you heard this song?  SWOON.  I knew this song was coming out about a month ago.  Mom and I saw Thomas at the Grand Ole Opry and he sang this song.  He wrote it to his wife.  It is the sweetest thing.  He and his cute little wife are adorable!

FOUR
I love this picture of my boy and his field crew buddies.  They are in the equipment room before the game praying.  If this doesn't tell you that Jesus isn't present, I don't know what does!

FIVE
This is a new favorite picture of mine.  She is something else!

One more thing before I go....

GO VOLS!  BEAT FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!

This picture is circa 2006..  Carson had these foam letters for the bathtub so we made a sign.  It is TIME for the Vols to beat the Gators!

Carson has a baseball tournament this weekend and has to play his toughest opponent (long story there) an hour before the UT game kicks off- which means we will be watching the stressful baseball AND the UT game at the same time.  Two huge rivalry games!  I am taking my iPad and Chad's hotspot to the ball field so I can watch both.  Crazy?  Nope!
